As part of the National Social Life, Health and Aging Project, the University of Chicago conducted a study of more than 3,000 American adults, ages 57 to 85. The focus was on older men, using the logic that these men would (a) be more likely than their younger counterparts to have sexual problems and (b) they are also more likely to experience “partner betweenness”, since over time a couple's social circles tend to overlap. The data showed that about a quarter of men experience partner betweenness and that these men are 92 percent more likely to report erectile dysfunction. Read More

Talk about it candidly with your partner, then talk to your doctor. And, we’ve also provided some questions and other prep material for that doctor’s office visit.
